Biography of Cynthia Malala Moliga
Cynthia was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and later relocated to the mainland. Her studies were with the Catholic University of America and Chaminade College in Hawaii where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree. Cynthia taught high schools in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, New York and New Jersey.
On her return to American Samoa in l983, she served our government briefly in the Department of Education and LBJ Medical center, the Department of Human Resources and later, in the Department of Youth and Women’s Affairs. Presently, she is a member of the ASOA ( American Samoan Organization on Aging) and actively supports the collaborative efforts of both TAOA (Territorial Administration on Aging) and ASOA in identifying and addressing the needs of all our aging residents in the territory.
