Governor Togiola gave the following statement after arrival:
STATEMENT
"It is a wonderful feeling to once again set foot on the soil of our beautiful island home, to see the familiar surroundings that we love so much, and to enjoy the expressions of love and support of which make American Samoa such a wonderful and special place.
When we left almost eight weeks ago, there were no guarantees. My fate was in God’s loving hands. Mary and I give our sincerest thanks to our Heavenly Father for bringing us home safely.
So now we have returned to continue the job at hand, and we express our sincere thanks to the people of Tutuila and Manu’a for their prayers, love and support. We are forever grateful.
It’s good to be back home. Thank you.”
