Governor travels to Hawaii for PBDC meeting
Governor Togiola Tulafono has departed the territory for the Aloha State to attend the summer meeting for the Pacific Basin Development Council, for which he serves as chairman.
The day before he left, during his weekend radio program, Togiola explained that the meeting will revolve around discussions on economic development for the PBDC membership.
The PBDC, which is managed by a board of directors, is based in Honolulu, Hawaii and is a non-profit group comprised of governors representing US jurisdictions, including American Samoa.
In addition to conducting research into economic and social developments of the Pacific Islands, the PBDC goes further by implementing projects to that effect.
