The American Samoa Criminal Justice Planning Agency serves as the territorial planning agency for grant programs created under the Omnibus Crime Control and Safety Street Act of 1968 and the Juvenile and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974. Its functions include providing training, records management, program evaluation/monitoring and technical assistance for justice partners. In addition to the agency’s responsibilities around criminal justice system planning and improvement, the agency is responsible for administering numerous formula grant programs that support a wide variety of services across the territory.
