What is the goal of a vaccination raffle?

The American Samoa Government's goal to get up to 80% of all local eligible candidates, to get fully vaccinated.

The raffle has two major objectives: 
 

1) It is an incentive program designed by the Governor and Lt. Governor to increase the percentage of fully vaccinated residents of American Samoa.
 

2) To reward those who have gotten their shots and have saved lives. 

By getting our vaccination percentages up, we can begin to enjoy returning to normalcy as the rest of the United States begins to relax COVID-19 restrictions.

Increasing our general population's capability to defend against the virus, gives our Territory a fighting chance to manage the response to the virus if it reaches our shores.

Here is the great news.  Once you get your second shot, you will automatically be eligible and the raffle committee will assign a unique RAFFLE ID NUMBER for each fully vaccinated person.

Once your number is selected for any drawing, it will be eligible again for the very next drawing. 

Giving you the chance to win up to $25k worth in electronics, $25k, $50k, $75k, or $100k.

HOW TO CLAIM MY PRIZE?

​Once your number is drawn, the raffle committee will contact you to verify you accept the award.  If you accept, then you will be directed to report to the DOH Main Office at the Argosy Building in Tafuna.

  1. If the winner is 18 and older, the winner must sign a voluntary waiver that will allow ASDOH to provide their name to the Covid-19 Raffle Committee to disperse the prize and publicly disclose their name as a winner in the Covid-19 Raffle.

  2. If the winner is a minor, ASDOH shall have the minor along with a parent or legal guardian present themselves at the specified location. ASDOH shall follow the same process identified in the previous section. The parent or legal guardian must sign the waiver, not the minor. The winning prize for minors shall be issued to the parent or legal guardian on behalf of the minor. 

The committee will make at least 3 good-faith documented attempts over the course of at least two days, then the raffle committee will place your name back into the general drawing and will select a new winner.
