Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program
About The Grant:
The Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program (SSG Fox SPGP) enables the VA to provide resources toward community-based suicide prevention efforts. This meets the needs of Veterans through outreach, suicide prevention services, connections to VA, and community resources.
In alignment with VA’s National Strategy for Preventing Veteran Suicide (2018), this grant program assists in further implementing a public health approach that blends community-based prevention, with evidence-based clinical strategies through community efforts. The grant program is part of the Commander John Scott Hannon Veterans Mental Health Care Improvement Act of 2019, signed into law on October 17, 2020.

Food Security: Our initial hydroponics class started on 20 March 2023 and will conclude 28 April 2023 for a total length of 6 weeks. Below is a list of programs that’s in the works and we are super excited about.

Basic Plumbing: Another class that gives the veteran the opportunity to learn the basic skills of a plumber in case the need arises.
Massage therapy: The opportunity for a veteran to qualify for a once a month massage therapy to help ease the difficulties of chronic and everyday pain.
