On Sunday, June 23, a special church service ceremony took place at CCCAS Nu’uuli Church, where athletes, coaches, trainers, and team leaders came together in a spirit of reflection and gratitude. The presence of the Honorable Governor and Lieutenant Governor of American Samoa, joined by Senator Noa Togamau, ASNOC President Tuiaana Ed Imo, Secretary General Ethan Lake, and Vice President Louis Solaita, highlighted the profound importance of the occasion and the unified support for Team American Samoa as they prepare for the 2025 Pacific Mini Games.

In his heartfelt remarks delivered during the service, Governor Pulaali’i extended warm wishes and encouragement to all representatives of Team American Samoa, emphasizing the values of excellence, humility, and unity. He spoke of the importance of embodying the “best character” in all interactions abroad, encouraging athletes to act as true ambassadors of their families, churches, and villages, and to share love and respect with fellow Pacific islanders.

The service was led by the Reverend Leitualasa Malieitulua of CCCAS Nu’uuli, who offered spiritual guidance and blessings for the safety and success of the traveling delegation. His words inspired strength, purpose, and faith as the teams prepare to journey to Palau this week.

The American Samoa National Olympic Committee extends its deepest appreciation to all community members, leaders, and faithful supporters who continue to uplift our athletes as they prepare to represent our island nation on the regional stage. We look forward to a Pacific Mini Games that honors competition, camaraderie, and the enduring spirit of the Pacific.
