Governor Joins the Home of the Wildcats in Honoring

the Graduating Class of 2025

Nu’uuli, American Samoa – In a momentous celebration of academic achievement, Governor Pulaalii Nikolao Pula, First Lady Lois Phillps-Pula, Congresswoman Aumua Amata, Director of Education Maefau Dr. Taufete’e, esteemed government officials, and church leaders gathered with proud families and friends to honor the 76 graduates of this year's class. Their presence highlighted the community's unwavering commitment to education and the promising future of American Samoa’s next generation.

 

During the ceremony, Governor Pulaalii delivered brief yet heartfelt remarks, commending the graduates for their perseverance and dedication. “You are the future of our government and island community,” he expressed. “Your hard work and ambition will shape the path forward for our territory.” The Governor, along with other dignitaries, extended best wishes to the graduates as they embark on new opportunities

As part of the joyous celebration, Jireh Mauigoa was formally recognized as the Class Valedictorian, an achievement that speaks to his dedication and academic excellence. In addition to this honor, he was awarded the prestigious ASG scholarship, further highlighting his outstanding accomplishments. Miracle Mao was distinguished as the Class Salutatorian, a testament to her hard work and commitment to academic success. Their achievements serve as an inspiration to their peers and a proud moment for the entire community.

 

The ceremony reflected the deep rooted values of leadership, service, and community, reinforcing the belief that education is the cornerstone of progress in American Samoa. Leaders encouraged the graduates to embrace their future with confidence, knowing they have the support of their families, mentors, and community.
