Governor Pulaali’i Honors Manu’a High School Class of 2025
During First Official Visit to Manu’a

Manu'a, American Samoa, June 06, 2025 — The Honorable Governor Pulaali’i Nikolao Pula made his first official visit to the Kingdom of Manu’a since taking office to celebrate the proud and historic graduation ceremony of the Manu’a High School Class of 2025. The event, held at the Home of the Segaula, brought together proud families, community members, and dignitaries to honor the academic journey of 13 graduating seniors.
Governor Pulaali’i was accompanied by Congresswoman Uifa’atali Aumua Amata, Fono representatives of Manu’a, Deputy Speaker of the House Fetu Fetui Jr. and Tiaoali’i Fauoagiga Sai, and other government officials. The visit marked a significant milestone not only for the graduating class, but also for the community, as it underscored the administration’s commitment to the outer islands and reaffirmed the Governor’s promise to uplift and support all corners of American Samoa.

This year’s graduating class was led by Valedictorian Ane Tiare Tagaloa of Fitiuta and Salutatorian Lama Jake Petelo, representing both Olosega and Fitiuta. Their accomplishments were celebrated as symbols of resilience and excellence in a setting often challenged by limited resources and access.
During his remarks, Governor Pulaali’i extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates and praised their perseverance and hard work. He reflected on the meaningful transition they are making, closing one chapter of their lives and stepping into the next with courage and hope. The Class of 2025’s success is a testament to what can be achieved even in the most remote and resource-limited parts of American Samoa. It highlights the determination and perseverance of Manu’a students, supported by strong families, dedicated educators, and a close-knit island community
Governor Pulaali’i also recognized the deep cultural and historical significance of Manu’a within the territory and affirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring that students and families in the outer islands have the support they need to succeed. He encouraged the graduates to carry their pride in Manu’a wherever they go and to remember that their achievements reflect not only their personal determination, but also the enduring strength of their people.
