Governor Pulaali’i Joins Fa’asaō Marist High School in

Celebrating the Class of 2025

Fatuoaiga, American Samoa – The Honorable Governor Pulaali’i Nikolao Pula joined the Fa’asaō Marist High School community in celebrating the Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2025, held at the Fatuoaiga Hall on June 07, 2025. Governor Pulaali’i attended the ceremony on behalf of Lieutenant Governor Pulumataala Ae Ae Jr and the American Samoa Government.

 

The event was graced by the presence of religious leaders of the Catholic Church, members of the Fono, government officials, and proud families and friends. A total of 56 students graduated, marking the completion of a significant milestone in their academic journey. This year’s Valedictorians were Marlynn Sulimoniopapatuaiapatiilefagaesa Tua and Lanthony Harold Umi Sagapolutele. Co-Valedictorians were Aufata Fruean and Kathleen Feliz Sagapolutele, while the Salutatorian honor went to Dylan Asejo Yamson.

Delivering the commencement address was Mrs. Catherine Dor Aigamaua Saelua, a proud alumna of the Fa’asaō Class of 1977. She extended heartfelt congratulations to the graduates and encouraged them to pursue greater goals in life. Mrs. Saelua emphasized the importance of placing faith in God, reminding the students that He has plans to give them hope and a future, and encouraged them to always remember to serve and give back to their island home.

 

In his special remarks, Governor Pulaali’i congratulated the graduates for their perseverance and dedication throughout their academic years. He noted that this achievement marks an important step toward their future goals. As a proud product of Catholic education himself, having attended Marist Brothers, the Governor shared that he felt at home attending the Fa’asaō ceremony. He expressed his deep appreciation to the Catholic Church for its steadfast commitment to providing quality education rooted in faith. Governor Pulaali’i also extended his gratitude to the teachers, families and friends of the students for their support for the graduates during their time of high school education. Congratulations to the Fa’asaō Marist High School Class of 2025!
