Leone High School’s Mighty Lion roar into the Future
with Governor Pulaali’i
Leone, American Samoa – The Honorable Governor Pulaali’i Nikolao Pula joined in celebration of the 59th Commencement Ceremony of Leone High School held on Monday, June 9, 2025 on behalf of Lieutenant Governor Pulumataala Ae Ae Jr. With the theme "Today's Accomplishments were Yesterday's Impossibilities," the event brought together religious leaders, lawmakers, ASG officials, and proud families and friends to honor the Class of 2025.
A total of 114 students graduated during the ceremony, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey. This year’s Co-Valedictorians were Tamara Aifesili, Atele Salave'a, and Princessvaletine Vaoga, while the Co-Salutatorians were Renee Ajanay Dunson and Mouana Ta'ala .
The keynote address was delivered by former Miss American Samoa, Paulina Angelfromheaven Felise-Vitale, who inspired the graduates with words of encouragement to embrace curiosity, ask questions without fear, and always strive to become the best version of themselves just as she had done during her reign.
In his remarks, Governor Pulaali’i congratulated the graduates, emphasizing how their accomplishments today were once considered out of reach, true to this year’s powerful theme. He encouraged the students to use the knowledge and life lessons they’ve gained to shape a future full of promise and purpose.
Highlighting Leone High School’s enduring motto “Unity is our Strength,” the Governor praised the school community for fostering a spirit of togetherness that carried the students to this proud moment. He noted that this strength, paired with the wisdom gained, would serve as a guiding force as the graduates take on new challenges beyond high school.
Governor Pulaali’i extended his sincere commendation to the Leone High School Class of 2025. He proudly recognized the home of the Mighty Lions stating, “It is through your courage, perseverance, and unity that you have arrived at this significant milestone. May you continue to advance with pride and confidence as you embark on the next chapter of your journey.”
