ASG Offers Notary Public Certification Course
The Office of the Secretary and the Office of the Governor will be offering Notary Public courses for those interested in being commissioned or who are up for recertification.
The class schedule is as follows:
Course held from 8:30 am to 12 noon on June 17th, 2021 at the Department of Human Resources Conference Room.
2) Registration Deadline:
Registration deadline for June 17th Training, will be 4 PM on June 11th.
3) Food will be provided.
Applicants must show a receipt for the $100.00 nonrefundable application fee from the Treasury. They must also meet the minimum requirements: be at least 18 years of age; have a regular place of work or business in the Territory of American Samoa, as defined in A.S.C.A. § 31.0307(p); reside legally in the Territory of American Samoa; read and write English; pass a course of instruction requiring a written examination under A.S.C.A. § 31.0316; and submit fingerprints to allow a criminal background check.
Should applicants pass the exam and meet the general requirements, they will be required to post a $500.00 bond before their certificates are issued.
